Designed together with a member from the Wagner Pen Club of Japan, FWI created the PLE2, a demonstrator push-button style vacuum fill fountain pen. The pen is paired with a JoWo 14k two-tone gold #6 nib. The vacuum fill system utilizes a push-button mechanism cleverly housed within the acrylic blind cap, matching the grip and cap of the pen. The cap contains a spring seal to prevent ink from drying out in the nib and subtly incorporates a gold roll stop, complementing the rest of the gold trim. The acrylic resin body features a pastel lilac, yellow, pink, and blue marbled diamond-cast pattern, elegantly complemented with gold metal accents.
Sparked from a passion for high-quality stationery and writing instruments, FWI, which stands for Fine Writing International, was founded in 2012. The company initially began selling and distributing products from well-established European brands. FWI is now recognized for designing and producing innovative fountain pens by collaborating with local Taiwanese manufacturers and craftspeople.
