Pampshade Bread Lamps are made from real loaves of bread, gently illuminated by LED lights to give the feeling of warmth and comfort that a fresh loaf provides. Created by Japanese artist Yukiko Morita, who fell in love with the powerful joy of fresh bread while working at a bakery, each lamp is handmade and treated to be antibacterial so it will last for years. With the goal of reducing food waste, she makes many of her lamps from loaves that would otherwise be discarded, and she saves and reuses the interiors of the hollowed-out bread lamps.
The Croissant bread lamp gives off a delicate, buttery light that will bring warmth to any room. It's designed to be displayed on a table or desk. To turn the lamp on and off, simply place it on a flat surface to activate the sensor switch.
Staff pick! Jean says: "If I could fill a room with these and edible bread, I'd be set for life."
