This water-resistant, lightfast ink is a rich black color that's ideal for writing and drawing. This ink can be used with fountain pens, dip pens, and calligraphy brushes. Note that this is a pigmented ink, meaning it may clog your fountain pen if it's left to dry out inside.

Staff pick! Jean says: "All the claims are true: it really is the darkest fountain pen ink I've ever seen. It's darker than Platinum Carbon Black, Noodler's X-Feather, Diamine Jet Black, Aurora Black, Sailor Kiwaguro, and even Sakura Pigma Micron pens and black Sharpies. If you're looking for a pure black writing ink with no sheen, that won't feather or bleed on copy paper (or anything else I've tried), give this one a go. My only reservation is that it runs a little if you paint watercolor over it. Use it for writing or save it for ink-only drawings."
