In collaboration with the esteemed Japanese stationer, Bungubox, Esterbrook created a series of "Kachofugetsu" Estie fountain pens. Flower was the first of the series released in May of 2024 and due to its incredible success has been released again. The second pen in this series, the Kingfisher Estie came out in August 2025.
"Kachofugetsu", literally meaning "flower, bird, wind, and moon", is a word expressing the beauty of nature and the changing seasons. The someiyoshino cherry blossom was the inspiration for the Kachofugetsu Flower pen, which can be seen in the color of the translucent and pink crackled pattern, resembling a flurry of cherry blossom petals riding on a gust of wind. The translucent material allows the converter and ink to show through the body. The theme of the cherry blossom continues onto the converter and nib. The converter features a cherry blossom petal print and the gold-toned JoWo #6 nib is engraved with the Japanese character for "flower"
