Kakimori's Potari inks are richly colored pigment inks inspired by Japanese onomatopoeia and wordplay. Each color is associated with a familiar sound or feeling. Zabun is an oceanic aquamarine. Kakimori describes it as "the sound of the deep, blue ocean. Listen for the lapping waves as the ink flows across the paper, awakening precious memories."
These gorgeous inks come in asymmetrical glass bottles designed to resemble potari, or falling drops. The bottles have a wide, stable base and a wide neck that makes it easy to fill your pen, and the pigmented inks are water- and fade-resistant. They're thick enough to use with dip pens and calligraphy brushes, and smooth enough to work in a fountain pen. Note that pigmented inks may clog your fountain pen if they're left to dry out inside.
