Getting Curious: Wintertime

This week we’re getting curious about wintertime. Here are our prompts for cultivating your curiosity:

  • This week, think about your experience of wintertime. Do the seasons change dramatically in your region during winter? How do you feel about this season, and how have those feelings changed over your lifetime? Does winter limit the activities you enjoy or open up new activities you like? How do the people around you respond to winter?

  • How do the plants and animals in your region respond to winter? Can you think of an animal that you see in the summertime and not in the winter? This week, learn something about how that animal spends the winter.

  • Research a part of the world where winter weather is dramatically different than it is where you live. How do you think this changes people’s daily lives? Make a list of the ways the changing seasons affect your own life. Can you think of some reasons you’re grateful for winter?

Did you learn something new this week? Feel free to share in the comments below!
