Getting Curious: Vocabulary

This week we’re getting curious about the words we use. Here are our prompts for cultivating your curiosity:

  • Each day this week, write down a word you hear or read that you like. Why do you like it? Is it new or familiar to you?

  • When was the last time you learned a new word? Do you use a large vocabulary in your daily life or do you tend to use the same words, and does it matter to you? Do you pick up language that your friends and family use?

  • What are some words you typically use to describe yourself, and why? Do they have positive or negative connotations? Does that change the way you think about yourself?
Did you learn something new this week? Feel free to share in the comments below!
